It’s that time of year again when we start preparing ourselves for the Cards for Schools initiative.

Cards for Schools began around 10 years ago, when we were asked by a local school if we could produce some Christmas cards for them to sell as a fundraiser. The idea was to get the children to draw Christmas themed pictures for the front of the cards and for us to reproduce them as high-quality Christmas cards with a special message inside. We thought this was such a great idea and we couldn’t wait to get involved. As the children started to create their best Christmas pictures, we began to get everything ready on our side for translating the children’s beautiful artwork into fantastic cards.

The project was such a great success that not only did the school want to do it again the next year, but a bunch of other schools heard what we were doing and wanted to have a go too. Each year since, we’ve helped more and more schools raise essential funds in a fun and creative way. We want to help the schools raise as much money as possible, so we offer great discounts on large orders and for multiple pack orders per child.

How does it work?

Since many more school have got involved in recent years, we have developed a process to make sure the experience is as enjoyable as possible for everyone. Firstly, we register the schools and send out templates for the children to draw on as well as admin templates. This makes it much easier for the children when they are creating their master pieces. Once they have completed their drawings the schools will send them to us, and we will send back a sample card for each drawing. The schools will then take orders for the Christmas card packs and we will begin to process them. It’s as simple as that!  We then send back the card packs to the school for collection.

With schools back in action, we are delighted to be back creating Christmas cards again this year. If your local school would like to get involved, make sure to get in touch with our team as we would be delighted to get you set up.
